The Award in Developing Leadership Skills is aimed at developing the leadership skills of learners, enriching their employability skills and personal growth. The Level 2 Award aims to make the topic accessible to the broad range of abilities and needs, as part of full study programmes, personal and development, enrichment programmes or preparation for employment.
The Award can be delivered to learners on full study programmes, particularly to 16-18-year olds, as part of an enrichment programme and in preparation for employment.
The OCNLR Awards in Developing Leadership Skills are regulated by Ofqual, the qualifications regulator for England, and are registered on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF).
The purpose of the qualifications is to develop the leadership skills of learners, to apply in the workplace and other situations, thereby enhancing their prospects of gaining employment or progressing with their studies, or within their current role, whether employed, voluntary or as an active citizen.
The minimum age for access to the qualification is 16 years. There are no entry requirements.
For this award there is one mandatory unit, which covers understanding the key characteristics of an effective leader, the skills involved in being an effective leader, the relationship between a leader and team member, and knowing how to lead.
The fee is GBP £99 payable in full on registration.
